Guess who's coming to dinner?

That's right! For Mom's birthday Mary asked Elvis if he would come and sing to her. Sadly I missed it but I have the fun pictures. We had a nice lunch. Thanks Grandma!

Is Anybody Listening?

I'm on the blog and I hope everyone understands that I don't know how to blog or text or anything else that requires reading small print of any kind. I love you all and
God bless you for wasting the 30 seconds it took for you to read this. You won't get it back!

I loved Thanksgiving. Thank you all the Bartons and loved visiting with all the family that attended. We have many blessings and much to be grateful for. Thank you for being the great people that you are and for the love and support you show to us and each other. Welcome home, Nick. You look fantastic. love to all, grandma. Thanks to Heather for trying to get us all involved.

Its getting serious!

Hey family!

Here's an email I sent to everyone. If you didn't get it that means I don't have an up to date email address for you. Please send me an email address I can reach you at asap!

hahandy@gmail.com

I hope this reaches you all. These were the addresses I had for everybody and I know I'm missing plenty of cousins and stuff so the first thing I need to ask of everyone is to get me a working email address for each of you and yours. In fact I'm going to ask everyone that reads this to send some kind of reply so that I know that it reached you.

Here's the other bad news, if you want to participate on the blog (be an author on it, anyone with an internet connection can read it) you need a gmail account. You don't have to use it you just have to have one. So if the address that this email goes to is NOT a gmail address and you are NOT already an author on the blog please send me your gmail address (if you don't know how to get one ask me) so I can send you an invite. You then will have to accept that invite by logging into that gmail account and following the instructions in that invitation.

The next thing I'm going to ask all of you to do is, if you are already an author or you THINK you're already an author I want you to post on the blog. Just so we can see if your permisson is working right. I don't care what you put up there (keep it appropriate please) just post something so that we know who's accounts are working and who's aren't.

Here is the address in case you forgot.

The last thing I need to say is that I'm trying to figure out how to get a calendar connected to the blog that we can all reference to know what's going on. I'll keep you posted on that.

Thanks for your help and hopefully this will become an easy way we can all keep in touch with each other.

Love,

Heather

I may have been a clogger, but I'm no blogger...

Cheesiest title ever. And, it took guts to remind us all of my clogging days...let's put it all behind us. So, in an effort to stay more connected to the fam, I am going to post my first blog post thingy ever...I suppose yesterday made for a small noteworthy event. Paul's birthday is the 10th of Nov and yesterday his mom wanted to have a BBQ with some of his friends in celebration. To liven things up a bit I found a Transformer Pinata (if you have ever met Paul you will know why a Transformers Pinata would be exciting). When the store attendant asked me if it was for my child's birthday I said "no, my husband" (who, lets be honest, is pretty much a man child most of the time) the store clerk thought I was the coolest wife ever. Then again he started talking about how how cool it would be to go to a party where you get 'wasted' and then start bashing a pinata...and that's the point where I smiled and walked away (quickly). Day light savings is really a bummer in the Winter and really doesn't make sense to do in Texas where it is warm and muggy throughout most of the winter. People came over around 6pm and it was already dark! We hit the pinata with by the light of my car headlights. Paul's mom tried to make a transformer cake with a cake pan in the shape of Opitmus Prime's head but she had a frosting fiasco and so she put the cardboard cut out that came with the pan on top of the cake. Classy. We had burgers and chips and good times all around. Very low key. Sorry we didn't have any Hofheins Representaiton! Miss you all!

Confession

I wrote the two last posts. I was pretending to be Grandma. Please forgive me.

Heather

P.S.

I'm not going to die. Don't worry grandkids

Love you all

Attention All

I think we should all get off our rear and start to blog more. I'm not going to be around much longer and I want to make the most of it. This could be my last post.

Grandma

Oquirrh Mtn Temple Open House

I reserved 30 tickets for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House on Tuesday June 2nd at 6:40 pm. That should be pleanty of tickets for anyone that wants to attend. You may need a ticket to get in so lets meet at my house by 6:30 and then we can walk over to the temple together. Traffic in my neighborhood is expected to be pretty bad. I am sure that one or two cars can park in behind my garage in the alley. Attached are directions if you rather park in the temple parking lot.

Gwen

Baby Gwen came into the world kicking and screaming on Monday April 6th. She weighed in at 9 lb 13 oz. She is beautiful with lots of black hair.

Sandra is doing well. She is an amazing wife and mom. We are all lucky to have her in our lives.
